Understanding mise-en-scene

What is it: a moment which gives a complete emotion, a scene with all of it’s details and aspects
The main aspects of a mise-en-scene:
a) setting – has a bigger impact in film than theatre
b) make-up and costume: small details that are often not me noticed in real life. improving facial expressions, highlihting parts necessary and
c) lightning – could change shapes, emotion, feeling of an item, of space people
